The most important progress during the month was getting on his feet without any surface to lean on, all by himself. He also has taken a few steps, but it’s quite not walking, yet (though as I understand then some consider getting up on feet as walking?). He knows it’s time to clap his hands when we ask it in Estonian “plaksu plaksu”, and 50/50 that he points at his nose when we ask him where his nose is. Such a smart baby! 👶
A few days after Tristan turned 9 months we went on our first trip with him. He was really brave travel buddy. He was unbelievebly social, interacting with people around us, old and young. Funny that at home it takes a lot more time for him to get used to people who visit us before he starts his long conversations 🤷♀️
His most common words are “mämm määmm emmmme mmemm”, meaning more or less “yumm yummy mummy mum”, but also “täh/äitäh (aitäh)” is in his speech, translated “thank you”. Plus “gagaa, guguu, dadaa” etc.
Okay, summer is busy time, so that a short post should suit you (and me)! Here’s our monthly video to end the entry:
These days it feels like Tristan is developing every day. It is said that during this age babies personality will start developing, starting from finding his favourite toys and ending with getting more independant to explore the world. At this age they also may start feeling separation anxiety. Continue reading “Our eighth month with Tristan”
During his seventh month, Tristan gained so many new skills: *he is talking by using more vocals than before; *he started coming on his fours, hands and feet, like in yoga cat-cow position and crawling; *he made his way from belly-time to sitting position without any help from us. Here’s a short video of some moments:
Oh boy, sleeping 3 hours in a row is a dream… 😴 I have had that opportunity two times since the beginning of November 🤦♀️ Not speaking about sleeping through the night as the last time was perhaps in the end of June… Lately we have had nights where Tristan hasn’t sleep even 1 hour in a row. Don’t know whether his teeth might be hurting his gums. 🤷♀️
Sleep patterns is a word combination that describes our fourth month the most. Our huge purpose was to get Tristan sleep in his bed and for that I started putting him sleep in his bed during daytime as well. Eventually he managed to sleep 1,5-2 hours in his bed during daytime, but that lasted for only a half week or so. Continue reading “Our fourth month with Tristan”
It is true – some things get better in time! Our third month with Tristan has been the greatest so far. We are still struggling to teach him falling asleep in his bed and I know that there are tough times waiting us ahead, but right now I am totally enjoying everything.
The day that our precious little Leo boy was born.
First I would mention that our due date was settled for 19th August, but I was expected to carry the child for a little longer as the midwife told. But well well well, on 18th August when me and my partner were about to set outselves to bedtime at 11pm, I started noticing regular contractions. Continue reading “How Tristan arrived in this World…”
